[25 Days of Christmas] Mariah Carey- “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)”
It just wouldn’t be the holidays without Mariah Carey and her pipes. Her Christmas jingle, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” is currently playing on probably 35 percent of radio stations nationwide, at this very moment.
The song was originally written by the infamous Phil Spektor and sung and recorded by Darlene Love on the 1963 compilation Christmas album entitled A Christmas Gift for You from Philles Records.
Rolling Stones magazine, in 2010, made this their #1 Christmas song, saying that “nobody can match Love’s emotion and sheer vocal power.” We like Carey’s better.
Tis’ the season and cheers to you all.
Enjoy!
