Forget-Me-Not: Nine Inch Nails – “Perfect Drug”
Love it or hate it, Nine Inch Nails’ “Perfect Drug” is the perfect way to remember the electronically-driven mid-90s.
Written for the David Lynch film Lost Highway, “Perfect Drug” peaked at #17 on the Billboard Hot Single Sales.
Wikipedia tells us about NIN’s “Perfect Drug” music video:
“A music video for [Perfect Drug] was directed by Mark Romanek and released on January 18, 1997. The theme was inspired by the art of Edward Gorey[3]. Other references include an unidentified painting resembling Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss(1907–1908) and a “Scanning Machine” designed by Frenchman François Willème in 1860.”
