Forget-Me-Not: Party Plays Of The 2000s…Thus Far. [Collection]
Every now and again we have the urge to mix things up a bit. We have been asked on multiple occassions, “what genre of music is your website exposing (variations of this question)?” Well my answer is all of them.
The concept is to promote, discuss, discover, and facilitate music, at large. Today’s Forget-Me-Not is a prime example. We do not have long and grueling editorial meetings on what to pick for this category of Sound Check… or any category rather. We decide based on preference and mood.
Well I am feeling drawn, for whatever subconscious reason, to the hits of my teenage years. Not the boy bands or rock fads… but the good shiz. The ridiculous, irrelevant, mindless messes brought to us by artists like R. Kelly, Lil John, Usher, Sisqo, etc.
Here goes nothing. Let the reminiscing ensue.
R. Kelly-”Ignition (remix)”
Nelly-”Country Grammar”
Sisqo-”Thong Song”
Dr. Dre Ft. Snoop Dogg-”The Next Episode”
Mystikal-”Shake Ya Ass”
Jay-Z Ft. UGK-”Big Pimpin”
DMX-”Party Up”
Eminem-”The Real Slim Shady”
Usher Ft. Lil’ John-”Yeah”
