Free Music Friday: Bloodkin Live at Red Light Cafe on 06/04/2007

Bloodkin | Sound Check Music Blog

Today’s Free Music Friday submission is from Athens, Ga., very own–Bloodkin. Bloodkin is one of the most influential bands to come out of the 20th Century Athens’ music explosion. Giving inspiration to many successful Athentonians touring our nation right now– most notably, those of Widespread Panic and Drive-by Truckers.

Widespread Panic plays homage to BK often as they tour. Playing several of their songs all across the nation– including ”Makes Sense To Me“, “Henry Parsons Died“, “End Of The Show“, “Who Do You Belong To“, and occasionally “Quarter Tank Of Gasoline.”

Bloodkin unleashes it @ Red Light Cafe in Atlanta, Ga., in the performance. The rawness of it alone will leave you speechless.

Here is the BK setlist:

Dharma Knife, Unconditional, Calling Back, 20 Million Things, Back To Town, I Get Lonely, The Workhorse Theme, Uncomfortable, Jolly Coppers On Parade, Poncho & Lefty
Mountains Of Trust, Is That All There Is?, Yellow Submarine, Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues

Ghost Runner, Spend It All, Morning Chrome, Life In The Minor Leagues, Tennessee Williams, Stray Cat Blues, Hickory Wind, My Name Is Alice

Happy Friday and enjoy!
