iTunes Festival: Foo Fighters + Jimmy Eat World

Foo Fighters at 2011 iTunes Festival | Sound Check Music BlogLast night’s iTunes Fest performance showcased Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters, and Dave Grohl ejecting a fan.

Jimmy Eat World began the night by playing to a comatose crowd – one that obviously showed up for Grohl and the boys.  Despite the lifelessness, Jimmy Eat World rocked the house, as they always do.

Foo Fighters then took the Roadhouse stage and turned the crowd’s frown upside down, well, most of the crowd anyway.  During the new single, “Walk,” Grohl reportedly halted the song and ejected a fan for fighting.  Grohl stated during the mid-performance break, “I don’t put up with that bullshit – you people came here to have a good time and that guy can fuck off.

For those fans who didn’t lose their minds, Foo Fighters played numerous hits including “My Hero,” “Learn To Fly,” “Breakout,” and “Everlong.”  The encore featured a cover of the Queen classic “Tie Your Mother Down,” performed alongside Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Unfortunately, the complete iTunes Stream of either band is not available, but we did our best to compile everything we could find.  Enjoy!
