Madonna has started working on her 12th studio album, which is due out in Spring 2012.

The Kabbalah queen announced her new album news while in Venice, Italy, where she was promoting her film “W.E.” for the Venice Film Festival.

Madonna officially began working on the new record on July 4th.  I guess she felt it was her patriotic duty.

A new single should be released in February or March.
