Monday Blues: Rory Gallagher-”Bullfrog Blues”
Rory Gallagher, an Irishman and a genius, was a man who had a gift like none other. His charisma and talents transcended most rock & roll in the 70s and 80s and put him in a league of his own.
His parents harnessed his talents at a very young age and put a guitar in his hands for the first time at age 9. The rest of his story is truly history. He dabbled in several bands, including Taste—a blues/rock three piece that Gallagher assembled himself.
He quickly discovered that his talents were best utilized as a one man show, so Gallagher cut his ties and took things into his own hands.
Gallagher has collaborated with blues greats like Muddy Waters and Jerry Lee Lewis and made some of the most exquisite and complicated blues/rock tunes of all time.
