Past Performances At The MTV Video Music Awards [Video Collection]

The, hostless might i add, 2011 MTV Video Music Awards is airing live this Sunday night at 9/8C on MTV. So, we thought it might not be a bad idea to take a trip down memory lane and put a collection of past VMA performances that seemed to resonate eternally in popular culture.

We didn’t really find the need to cover the top 50 most outrageous VMA outfits or the top ten craziest moments, but did want to share the music (you know the one service MTV no longer provides).

This year’s Video Awards will be running stag, for the network did not find an event host. Whether this was on purpose or because all of their offers were declined, the VMAs are generally always a great place to get a little shock value.
