Watch Lil’ Wayne’s MTV Unplugged
In case you missed Lil’ Wayne’s “Unplugged” last night…No worries. We gotcha’ covered.
The rapper’s not-so-unplugged concert abandoned MTVs classic “Unplugged,” which promised fans a sit down, front row, raw acoustic set. Weezy’s performance didn’t lack the intimacy of past, but did, however, embody the digital age rap game, as he auto-tuned most every song.
I don’t know if I’m getting older and losing grip on current slang, but I didn’t realize “wireless microphone auto-tuning technology” was the definition of “unplugged.”
Regardless, the rap icon put on an amazing, plugged-in show, which included such hits as “A Milli,” “Lollipop,” and “Fireman.”

For the less technologically savvy, you can watch “MTV2 Presents: Lil’ Wayne Unplugged” tonight (June 13) at 9:00pm EST on MTV2.
And just for kicks, how about spending a moment with Nirvava’s “The Man Who Sold The World” from the band’s legendary 1993 “Unplugged in New York” show. Thoughts?
