“Where Are They Now?”: Eve 6
The Southern California band, Eve 6, tippy-toed into popular culture in the 90′s delivering songs that some have considered to represent the flavor of the decade.
Eve 6 was an array of names before choosing their moniker. The band began as Yakoo, not Yahoo, and then later became Eleventeen.
They were Eleventeen for some time, but it wasn’t until FBI Special Agents Mully and Sculler had a run-in with the “Eves” that they then became Eve 6. That’s right. As did most developing men blossoming 90′s style, the members of Eve 6 were big fans of the show.
There was an episode that included genetically engineered characters, one by the name of “Eve 6″ (hence), that were into eating eyeballs. Apparently this proved to be a worthy enough influence.
That is not as bad as “Foo Fighters” for a band name is it?
Anywho, their hits like “Inside Out”, “Leech”, and “Here’s To The Night” were unavoidable.
Their self-titled album was an immediate success and then that was piggy-backed with Horrorscope, which also did pretty well. Unfortunately their last album, It’s All In Your Head, managed to sell enough copies to a professional football stadium (figuratively of course) and the band had to bust.
Well come to find out these fellas got back together in March of this year and are turning clubs and college campus’ “Inside Out”.
